Several cast members from the show’s 2025 season recently made headlines for another reason—winning big at the Premios Ícono, one of Colombia’s top awards for digital creators.
Melissa Gate, who placed second on the show, performed her original track “Reales” live at the event. She also won the "Favorita e Indomable" award, a title given to public figures who are fearless and influential.
Emiro Navarro, known for his calm demeanor and clean content, received the “Mega Influencer of the Year” award. He has become one of Colombia’s most recognizable digital faces, turning his reality TV fame into a full-blown online career.
Karina García, another fan favorite, was honored as “Best Instagrammer”. Her high-quality visuals and bold posts have helped her build one of the strongest fan communities to come out of the show.
This success highlights how La Casa de los Famosos has become more than just a show—it's a launching pad for long-term influence.
While Melissa Gate was celebrating her award win, trouble was brewing online. Colombian YouTuber Nicolás Arrieta accused her of promoting a suspicious investment platform called “TNT.”
According to Arrieta, Melissa shared Instagram stories that showed her allegedly earning “90 million pesos” through the platform. These posts included affiliate links that encouraged fans to sign up—something that drew immediate backlash.
He claimed she was “haciendo lo mismo que otros famosos,” meaning “doing the same thing other celebrities have done” by pushing schemes with unclear credibility. Arrieta also warned that many young fans could be misled into investing their money without understanding the risks.
This is not an isolated case. Earlier in the year, winner Andrés Altafulla deleted similar posts after receiving criticism.
The backlash didn't stop at criticism. Melissa later revealed that her son received death threats from angry viewers. Many believe the tension between her and Karina García during the show fueled a toxic rivalry that spilled into real life.
In response, Melissa called for calm: “Dejen la estupidez,” she said—“stop the nonsense.” She added that reality shows should entertain, not inspire hate or harassment.
In an interview with Semana, Melissa said her goal on the show was to “mostrar la mujer real, con principios”—“show the real woman with principles.” Surprisingly, she also said she’s open to rebuilding her relationship with Yina Calderón, one of her fiercest critics during the season.
These four contestants made it to the end of the show and were the most supported by the audience:
